Privacy Policy
OpenDev Technologies Pvt. Ltd. · Last updated: May 2026
1. Who We Are
OpenDev Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("OpenDev Technologies", "we", "us", "our") operates the website at theopendevx.com and provides the OpenDevX platform — a white-labeled learning management and video conferencing platform for educational institutions.
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through this website. It does not govern the processing of data within the OpenDevX platform itself — that is governed by a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) entered into separately with each institutional client.
For data protection enquiries, contact us at: hello@theopendevx.com
2. Information We Collect
We collect two categories of information through this website:
Contact and enquiry data — When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, institution name, role, email address, and the content of your message. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry.
Technical data — Standard server logs may record your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and pages visited. This data is used for security and operational purposes and is not linked to your identity.
We do not use third-party behavioural tracking, advertising cookies, or analytics platforms that share data with third parties.
3. How We Use Your Information
Contact and enquiry data is used to respond to your enquiry with information specific to your institution type and region. We do not add you to automated marketing sequences or pass your details to third parties for marketing purposes.
Technical log data is used to maintain website security, diagnose errors, and understand aggregate traffic patterns.
If you become an institutional client, your contact information may be used for service-related communications under our service agreement.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
For visitors from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions where a legal basis for processing is required:
Contact form submissions — processed on the basis of legitimate interests (responding to a business enquiry you have initiated) and, where applicable, contract performance.
Technical log data — processed on the basis of legitimate interests (website security and operation).
We do not rely on consent as the basis for processing website enquiry data. You have the right to object to processing on legitimate interest grounds by contacting us at hello@theopendevx.com.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We may share information with service providers who assist in operating this website (such as hosting infrastructure providers), under contractual terms that restrict their use of your data.
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or regulatory authority — and will notify you where legally permitted to do so.
We do not transfer your personal data outside your jurisdiction without appropriate safeguards in place.
6. Data Retention
Contact form enquiries are retained for up to 24 months from the date of submission, or until the enquiry is resolved and no further communication is expected, whichever is sooner.
Technical log data is retained for up to 90 days.
If you become an institutional client, your data is governed by the terms of our service agreement and DPA.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
Erasure — request deletion of your data, subject to our legal obligations.
Restriction — request that we restrict processing of your data.
Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Right to object — challenge our processing where we rely on legitimate interests as the legal basis.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@theopendevx.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or UK and are unsatisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
9. Institutional Platform Data
Data processed within the OpenDevX platform on behalf of institutional clients — including student records, course data, user accounts, and learning activity — is governed exclusively by the Data Processing Agreement entered into with that institution.
OpenDev Technologies acts as a data processor in respect of institutional platform data. The institution is the data controller. We do not access, use, or transfer institutional platform data for any purpose other than providing the contracted service.
For questions about platform data processing, refer to your institution's data protection officer or contact us at hello@theopendevx.com to request a copy of our standard DPA.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by direct notification to institutional clients.
Continued use of this website after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
